Aunt Martha’s Youth Service has provided child welfare, juvenile justice and community capacity building services in Will County for more than 25 years. Their efforts to increase access to services in one of the Will County’s neediest communities is moving forward full steam upon receiving approval of $6 million in stimulus funding to provide a new Health Center to the medically underserved population living on the East Side of Joliet.
Synergy Construction Group is constructing a state-of-the-art community health and education facility on the campus of Silver Cross Hospital. The project is poised to achieve LEED GOLD. Synergy and the team are currently working with wind and solar power specialists as well as numerous grant groups to procure additional sustainability funding. Target completion is anticipated spring 2012. This facilitv will house 10 exam rooms, triage and a behavioral health and wellness area that will achieve the goal of a truly remarkable healing environment.
