Michael Pinelli,  Principal

Michael is one of the founders of Synergy Construction Group and is responsible for executive management of all aspects of general contracting and development services.

A former manager, Michael Pinelli developed a solid reputation for completing projects on time and within budget and developed a solid, repeat client base. His experience includes a vast array of retail build-outs, new commercial construction, as well as public and institutional projects in the Chicago area as well as out of state. Michael has specialized in very technical Hyper Fast Track Healthcare projects throughout his career and is a certified healthcare contractor from ASHE, the American Society of Healthcare Engineering.

Michael is from Chicago, attended Mount Carmel High School, has a B.S. in Construction Engineering and a minor in Business Management from Bradley University.

Philip Domenico,  Principal, LEED AP

A veteran of the real estate industry, Assemble Shared Office co-founder Phil Domenico has been active in real estate for more than 20 years. Phil’s career spans commercial and residential real estate, nationwide and local to the Chicago area, and also includes a Bachelor’s degree from John Carroll University and an MBA in Finance from DePaul University. Starting in 1995, Philip has overseen massive construction projects, including a 100,000+ square foot office/retail space for Progress Construction Company and construction management of 153 cell sites for US Cellular. Since 2009, Phil has been a Principal at Chicago’s Synergy Partners, an end-to-end real estate development and construction firm servicing both residential and commercial projects. Phil currently spends his time at Synergy Partners directing preconstruction and development activities along with leading the launch and growth of Assembled Shared Office.

After successfully co-founding Synergy-Partners with the help of an incubator called ICNC located in Chicago’s West Loop, Phil co-founded Assemble Shared Office on the idea that office space can be equal parts productive, modern, inspiring, and collaborative. Utilizing his vast experience in real estate and construction, Assemble takes Phil’s career-long philosophy of exceptional design, quality work, and customer service and brings it into the shared office world. With Assemble, Phil provides start-up innovators, entrepreneurs, freelancers, and small businesses with a workspace that meets these ideals, all with the goal of inspiring productivity and fostering community.

Phil is a licensed broker and holds a BS and MBA in Finance and Accounting. Phil is also recognized by the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) as a LEED accredited professional. He currently lives in Chicago, IL.

Jeffrey Metz,  Principal

Jeffrey is one of the founders of Synergy Construction Group and is responsible for executive management of all aspects of general contracting and development services. Jeff brings over 20 years of construction experience to Synergy Construction Group. His responsibilities include leading design coordination, the permitting process, determining project scope, detailed budgeting, detailed master construction scheduling and developing subcontractor bid strategies, bid negotiation and contract administration.

Jeff has completed over $76 MM in construction projects for clients like Chicago Public Schools, Advocate Healthcare, St Bernard Hospital, City of Plainfield and Bank of Tokyo.

Prior to joining the team in co-founding Synergy Construction Group, Jeff owned and managed a successful commercial and residential development company in Chicago.

Anthony Alessi,  Principal

Anthony is one of the founders of Synergy Construction Group and brings over 15 years of construction experience to the firm. He is responsible for overall construction operations including review of each cost estimate, bid analysis, cost breakdowns, review of project documentation and is the primary interface with the Client. Anthony is also responsible for development and management of the Company’s training, procedural, safety and quality assurance programs.

Anthony has personally completed a diverse range of residential and commercial projects in the Chicagoland area including over 500 residential condominiums, 150 town homes, 40 single family homes, 150 renovation projects and a 24-lot subdivision development in Joliet, IL. He has supervised several healthcare and retail construction projects for clients such as Advocate Healthcare, Gap, Limited, Bebe, Helzberg Diamonds, Bath & Body Works and McDonald’s.

Prior joining the team in launching Synergy Construction Group, Anthony owned and managed a carpentry contracting firm with 42 employees generating over $6MM in gross annual revenues.
